There are two types of allergic reactions. The first is long-term, not acute in nature. The second is acute (sudden onset), which usually requires prompt veterinary intervention.
Diet changes are required to solve most allergies (even if not a specific food allergies), since they are most often caused by a dog’s diet. Consider a food that’s free of all grain (wheat, soy, corn, etc.), eggs, and dairy.
I’ve been giving AJ The Farmer’s Dog food. He loves it and it has done a lot for his health. I’ve got a free box if you’d like it: https://www.thefarmersdog.com?ref=O2YMX2WZ3JQZ
Environment also plays a huge factor in allergies regarding canines. Fewer than 10 percent of dogs become sensitized to the environment and manifest respiratory reactions. Look for causes such as household cleaners, carpet sprays, furniture sprays, lawn fertilizers, scented candles, plug-in fresheners, laundry detergents, and fabric softeners (dog’s bedding).
Also bear in mind that canines may have adverse allergic reactions to vaccines.
Allergies may begin when the dog is 6 months to 3 years old. Itching is the most typical sign and will affect the abdomen, feet, face, and ears. This may be accompanied by excessive licking, which may lead to secondary wounds, hair loss, and scabbing. Consult a vet health professional.
