Aromatically:
Essential oils can create a memory filled aromatic experience for you and your guests. Memory and smell are inextricibly linked, so creating an atmosphere that is uplifting and buoyant will ensure your wedding or reception will be etched in everyone’s sensory memory.
When you breath in essential oils, those molecules are entering your nose and being absorbed by your blood stream. This method is a great starting point that can be a quick and easy way to receive the benefits of oils. You can drop them into your hand and breathe them in when you’re on the go. Or you can add oils to your diffuser and leave it running throughout the day. Remember that you get a cute diffuser necklace from us when you get your Premium Starter kit as well as reference literature.
Internally:
When ingesting oils, you are getting the most benefit from every drop. You can drop oils that can be taken internally under the tongue, swabbed on the inside of the cheek, or add them to a glass of water, or use a vegetable capsule and swallow.
All the oils with the white label in the kit can be taken internally.
Topical
Oils are great to use directly on your skin. The first place to start is the bottom of your feet. This is a non sensitive area and is the go-to place for little ones. You can apply oils neat (undiluted) or diluted with coconut or Young Living’s V6 oil. When you’re applying oils to babies or children, always start by diluting them first. Within 20 minutes of applying an oil, they can be found in every cell of your body, that’s why it is so crucial to use “clean” oils
Here are some quick tips for using essential oils safely:
1. Dilute with a carrier oil. Use of a carrier oil will not dilute the effect of the essential oil but will ensure that oils applied topically are not irritating or overpowering. Our favorite carrier oil (fatty oil straight from the kitchen cabinet) is organic grapeseed or coconut oil.
2. Never use water if you experience irritation. If essential oils get in your eyes or cause irritation to skin, flush and dilute the area with a safe carrier oil to alleviate discomfort.
3. Don’t apply essential oils to sensitive areas. We recommend that you avoid applying essential oils to sensitive areas such as eyes, ears, and mucous membranes.
They are very easy to use. In most cases, just rub it on the skin (remember that your skin hardly has a filter, whatever you put on goes into your bloodstream. That’s why it is so important to read labels and use true therapeutic grade essential oils where you can verify the source);
The French ingest and cook with it (Young Living indicates oils we can ingest with a white label – vitality label);
The Germans diffuse and inhale – which is the most effective method because it doesn’t have to pass through the digestive system.
