Nickname: Mother’s Oil

Here’s a fun fact for ya! The Greek name for this oil is marathon or marathos and the place where the battle of Marathon occurred? In a field of fennel! It’s also in the carrot family, how fun is that! For hundreds of years this herb was believed to ward of evil spirits and to protect against other unsavory evil things during the medieval times.

Description: Fennel oil is a versatile tool in the oily regimen. It is supportive to healthy

  • circulatory,
  • glandular,
  • respiratory, and
  • digestive systems,

which certainly classifies it as well rounded!

Taken internally, it can support maintaining healthy blood sugar and help to quench strong cravings.

It is also soothing for joints and reproductive organs.

The seeds themselves have been used to support a healthy digestive system and to help balance menstrual cycles! That’s why we can find it in our favorite digestive support oil DiGize and our favorite ~that time of the month oil~ Dragon Time!

Fennel essential oil (Foeniculum vulgare) is steam distilled from the crushed seeds of the fennel plant. The leafy herb is native to regions of southern Europe and Asia Minor, but it has since naturalized in locations around the world.

Fennel has a rich aroma reminiscent of anise, which gives Fennel oil its licorice-like scent. Although the seeds and oil are used in flavoring, fennel’s complex aroma has also made it popular in soaps, candles, and perfumes for hundreds of years!

It’s sweet and spicy aroma has been known to encourage feelings of grounding and stability, making it a great oil to diffuse during times of meditation or when you feel frazzled or scattered. It also has been known to help nursing mothers & milk production! If you’ve ever used this one for that very reason, share your testimonies below! We’d love for other mommas to know about this wellness tool!
